Bornfight, a venture building company that partners with early-stage startups, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Executive to lead the accounting for five of our affiliated IT companies. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and tax compliance. You'll be instrumental in identifying opportunities to optimize accounting processes and collaborate with leadership to implement improvements that enhance efficiency and optimize planning processes.
What you will be doing:
- Bookkeeping: maintaining accurate and complete records, including processing outgoing and incoming invoices, bank statements, and other accounting documents
- Payroll processing: manage payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws
- Expense management: collecting and reviewing incoming invoices, monitoring in/out payments, budgets and maintaining customer and supplier reconciliations.
- Invoicing and receivables collection: generating accurate and timely invoices and ensuring efficient receivables collection
- Tax optimization: proactively monitor legal changes impacting income, profit, and overall tax optimization
- Audit process management: serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, preparing and organizing all necessary documentation, assisting auditors with their inquiries and ensuring timely responses.
- Legal adherence: staying up-to-date and ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, including the Companies Act (Zakon o trgovačkim društvima), Income Tax Act (Zakon o Porezu na dohodak/dobit), Labor Act (Zakon o radu), Accounting Act (Zakon o računovodstvu, and General Tax Act (Opći porezni zakon).
- Minimax experience (bonus): proficiency in Minimax software is a plus. A working knowledge of Minimax will help you streamline your workflow, automate repetitive tasks, generate reports, and ensure data integrity throughout the process.
